Description:

100mls Concentrated Black Truffle Oil, with added Truffle shavings. This is a fabulous gift for foodie friends and great value. There is no other Truffle Oil available for this quality at this price.

Truffle Oil is a finishing Oil that should primarily be used to dress dishes just prior to serving. Its uses are infinite, but we recommend trying it initially with Risotto, Pasta, Pizza, Cooked Vegetables, Meat Carpaccio, Mushroom and Cheese or Egg based dishes.

Truffle Oil can also be used as a cooking Oil, but it should not be overheated or cooked for prolonged periods at high temperatures, as this will destroy most of the Truffle flavour.
For example, scrambled eggs will have a wonderful complex truffle flavour if cooked gently in Truffle Oil.

About Trufflehunter
Truffle hunter is a UK based family food business, sourcing truffles from the Sibillini Mountains in Central Italy. Their sole business is selling the absolute freshest high quality Italian truffles and truffle products. Always innovating Trufflehunter are continuously expanding the range of products they produce from their factory near Cirencester in Gloucestershire. They are the only company manufacturing truffle products in the UK.
Director Nigel Whitehouse explains about the art of truffle hunting:
The Italian truffle season begins on the first of October each year. The trifolau (Truffle hunters) and their specially trained Lagotto Romagnolo dogs scour their territory for the elusive fungi. As they only occur naturally in the soil surrounding certain trees, and attempts to grow them artificially have proved unreliable, Truffle hunting is a serious business. The location of the Truffles is, in many cases, a closely guarded family secret passed down from generation to generation.
